THE PROBLEM
Out-of-Control Contacts
Manual work wastes time, while centralized data creates privacy risks and exposes you to significant fines

70%/year1
The Update Tax
Every year, contact information becomes outdated, turning routine updates into a time‑consuming, costly task

3bn accounts2
The Centralization Trap
When all data lives in one place, a single breach can expose the personal information of millions of users

€20M or 4%3
The GDPR Penalty
If data isn’t managed properly, the risk isn’t just technical: it can also become a very costly GDPR issue

What people are saying
The community is excited: here are their first impressions of the project
I really like this.
— Flat 18 - Web Design & Development (@f18_dev) May 28, 2026
Contacts are one of those boring everyday tools that quietly cause a lot of friction: old numbers, dead emails, people changing roles, half your address book becoming digital archaeology.
A privacy-first contacts app with automatic updates, P2P and E2EE…
Sounds insane. You have the right idea. Encryption & privacy are the future.
— DeFi-G (@DeFi_G_) May 27, 2026
This is one of those products that sounds simple until you realize how broken the default is.
— Hirey AI (@HireyAI) May 27, 2026
Contacts should not decay.
They should stay alive.
Reversing the paradigm so the data owner completely controls who has access in real time is how the internet should have been built
— Jignesh (@jig_corp) May 25, 2026
This actually feels like a modern rethink of contacts instead of just another contacts app.
— richie shammah (@Shammah_Jnr) May 28, 2026
The auto-update feature is probably the strongest part for me. Signed up 👌
Curious to see how the experience feels in practice.
sounds way better than manually fixing phone numbers
— Priyanka Saini (@PriyankaSaini28) May 28, 2026
every time someone changes jobs. keep building ! :))
That's actually a really elegant solution — mutual updates make it feel less like a tool and more like a living network. No one has to chase anyone for new info. Excited to try it!
— Bhoomika - (@Bhoomikagj) May 27, 2026
This reminds me of Truecaller’s model, but completely flipped.
— Abay Builds (@AbayBuilds) May 26, 2026
Truecaller crowdsourced everyone’s contacts without real consent. You could see who saved you but had no control over your own data.
Meishi seems to be the privacy-respecting answer to that. Opt-in by design instead…
